Proposal for six-story building moves forward; project would be one of Main Street’s tallest structures
Despite concerns about its size and its ability to fit in with the character of Main Street, a developer’s proposal to construct a six-story, mixed-use building moved forward Tuesday night.
The planning commission narrowly voted to recommend city council approve the project, which would be one of Main Street’s tallest buildings and dramatically change the look of one of the busiest downtown intersections.
